Social Change

Strategies for Change utilizes large and small–scale change methodologies that bring people together in a safe and compassionate setting to transform social justice issues and advance social economic conditions at the local, national, and international levels.

We work with diverse stakeholders across different communities, global coalitions, and nonprofit organizations to launch new projects, initiatives, and public dialogues to achieve social and economic justice within the communities and countries they serve. We take the lead or partner with you on on-going projects.

Strategies for Change offers the following social change services:

Large Scale Social Change Initiatives and Projects: We take the lead or partner with you to gather diverse stakeholders on specific social or economic issues such as housing, homelessness, or racial justice, to explore, vision, and launch solutions. We use a combination of our own and other methodologies such as Future Search, World Café, and Restorative Justice Dialogues.

Community Programs for Sustainable Change: We provide programs that combine intensive skill building, application and coaching culminating in new pilot programs, partnerships, and services. Sample programs include:

Community Centers for Change: We partner with your group or community to create a hub for a new world where healing, connecting, learning, and governing occur together. We work with you to set up community and entrepreneurial programs, comprehensive holistic health services, and innovative communal areas, such as cafés & performance spaces, that foster connection and creativity

Theatre for Change Programs: Based on the work of Augusto Boal, workshops and programs are available to communities and groups to explore deep-rooted conflict, power dynamics, and internalized oppression through creative games, powerful techniques, and interactive skits for public forums. Programs include:

  • Image Theatre: Transform power relations in your group or community

  • Forum Theatre: Practice social actions through interactive skits to inspire community change through public forums

What People Are Saying

“Linda Provenza is one of the most skilled and insightful strategic leaders I’ve have had the privilege of working with. Ms. Provenza’s strength lies in her ability to build bridges across seemingly disparate groups, and channel that energy toward common interests, goals, and strategies. Her innovative problem-solving and facilitation strategies combine the best of organizational development theory with social change practice, making her firm, Strategies for Change, an indisputable asset and leader in the field.”
